Contest / Event Committee Chair - Jeff Finet

Overall planning and coordination of Riley Marching Festival, Winter Guard contest and Indoor Percussion Contest.

Support opportunities: Set up, parking/traffic, hand stamp, admissions, warm up, equipment loading/staging, spectator control, clean up…

Commitment: 1 day per contest

Hospitality Chair - Susan Ellenburg and Jennifer Johnson

Plan and coordinate hospitality areas for judges, directors, and staff during contests.

Support opportunities: Set up, food preparation, serving, cleanup…

Commitment: all day each event

Concession Chair - Steve and Donna Owen

Plan and coordinate concessions for football games, contests and car show.

Support opportunities: Setup, food preparation, serving, cashier and cleanup.

Commitment: 3 to 4 hours per football games, 1 day per contest or car show.

Souvenir Booth Chair - Steve and Donna Owen

Maintain inventory, coordinate workers for souvenir booth sales at football games and contests.

Support opportunities: work booth at football game and contests.

Commitment: 3 to 4 hours per football game, 1 day per contest.

Sponsor Committee Chair - Jennifer Johnson & Dianne Hoover

Lead committee to obtain commitments from businesses, grants, alumni and community to support programs and capital needs such as uniform, truck and trailer purchases/maintenance.

Support opportunities: Work as part of this committee, lead certain initiatives.

Commitment: varies.

Communications Chair - Cindy Dashnaw

Coordinate communication within booster organization, including dissemination of information and coordination with other committees for volunteers or donations.

Support opportunities: Work as part of a calling tree.

Commitment: As needed


Marching Band - Several unique opportunities


Prop Development Coordinator - James Glover

Meet with staff and other volunteers during the planning, building and maintaining the marching band props. Work with equipment and pit coordinator to recruit help at some practices, football games and contests to move props on and off field and load and unload equipment trucks

Support opportunities: Help develop a plan, build and then maintain the props. Move props on and off field and load and unload equipment trucks at some practices, football games and contests.

Commitment: Numerous days from Band Camp until props are built, then normally 1-2 days a week during marching season.

Equipment and Pit Crew Coordinator - Steve Owen

Establish and schedule a group of boosters to take turns as equipment managers for the away shows. Establish and schedule a group of boosters to move equipment on and off the field at football games.

Support opportunities: Drive the truck, coordinate the loading and unloading of the equipment for each away contest. 2 drivers are needed for each show.

Commitment: 1 day per show, 1-2 hours per football game.

Chaperone Coordinator - Amy Carpenter

Establish and schedule a group of boosters to act as chaperones for the away contests.

Support Opportunities: Be a chaperone, ride the bus and help coordinate activities associated with getting ready for contest performance. 6 chaperones are needed for each show.

Commitment: 1 day per show.

Uniform Coordinator - (students) - Amy Carpenter

Establish a group of boosters to wash and/or mend uniforms as needed. Identify missing or damaged uniform pieces needing replacement. Uniforms need to be washed in cold water, gentle cycle and with Woolite dark care formula.

Support opportunities: wash uniforms, repair uniforms

Commitment: As needed

Camp Coordinator - Dianne Hoover, Angela Henderson and Cindy Dashnaw

Coordinate logistics of all camps (guard, percussion, band, guard, etc).

Support opportunities: secure ice, cups, snacks as needed, work as a volunteer at camp.

Commitment: Varies depending on task.


Winter Guard

Non-sales Events: Schedule volunteers, set-up, clean-up, assist staff as needed...

Support opportunities: Assist the chairperson as needed.

Commitment: As needed.
