Band & SCRIP Card Fees / Donations

 

Band fees are necessary to provide the funding for many items for the students and band program.  The Band Fees only provide about 40 percent of the budgeted amount needed for each student.  The remaining budget comes from donations and fundraisers throughout the year.

The Greenfield Central Band Boosters are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group.  Therefore, donations are tax deductible, but NOT fees.

Paying with PayPal

 

 

 

The Greenfield Central Band Boosters now offers PayPal as another way to pay your student's band fees and SCRIP Card orders. The booster club is a PayPal verified organization. You must use a valid credit or debit card.

To pay with PayPal:
1. PayPal charges 30 cents plus 3.0% of the transaction amount.  Please understand we need to pass this fee on for the usage of this service. Enter the amount of the band fee and/or SCRIP Card order, click the "Calculate the PayPal Amount" button to see how much your "amount due" will be with PayPal fees and remember that amount as you will use it in step 4 below.

NOTE: You can combine a band fee payment with a SCRIP Card order as long as you break down the payments in the "Description" Box.

Enter the Total Amount of Band Fees and SCRIP Card:

IS IT WORTH IT? When calculating the PayPal fee, be sure to compare it with the rebate you'll earn from SCRIP. For smaller amounts, the PayPal fee may exceed the rebate, and so you'll want to pay with a check or use PrestoPay on the SCRIP site.

2. Click the "Pay Now" button (below) to take you to our PayPal page.

3. In the "Description" box, enter in the reason for the payment and the amount (Example: "John Smith's band fees of $100" or "My SCRIP Card Order for $250.00" or "Jeff Jack's band fees of $200 and SCRIP  Order of $100" ).

4. In the "Unit Price" box, enter the calculated "amount due" (Your payment amount plus PayPal fees). This amount was shown in the pop-up box when you clicked the "Calculate PayPal amount -- Nothing will be charged yet!" button in step 1.

NOTE: If you enter the incorrect amount and underpay your fee or order, we will bill you for the shortage.

5. If you have a PayPal account, login and continue the transaction with your saved information.

6. If you do not want a PayPal account, that's OK; you don't have to have one. Simply click “Continue” under “Don't have a PayPal account?” to enter your payment information.

7. On the "Review your payment" page, be sure and note the student's name in the "Add special instructions to the seller" box.  If paying for a SCRIP Card order, enter "SCRIP ORDER PLACED and input the date you placed your order" in the "Add special instructions to the seller" box. This way we will know how to apply the payment. PayPal will send you and the G-CHS band boosters an email notification of your payment. Keep this as your receipt.

8. The charge will appear on your credit or debit card statement as payment to "PAYPAL *GREENFIELDC". 

Use this option to pay for Band related Fees and SCRIP Card orders ONLY!!

Paying with a Check

 

As in the past, Cougar Pride Band and Guard members can pay with a check. DO NOT GIVE YOUR CHECK TO A STAFF MEMBER.  This method is the lowest cost to the family, as there are no extra charges that we have with PayPal.  Mail the check to:

The Greenfield Central Band Boosters now offers PayPal as another way to donate to the Greenfield Central Band Boosters General Fund.

To pay with PayPal:

 
1. Click the "Donate" button to take you to our PayPal page.

2. Enter in the "purpose", "amount" of your donation and click the "Update Total" button.

3. If you have a PayPal account, login and continue the transaction with your saved information.

4. If you do not have a PayPal account, that's OK; you don't have to have one. Simply click "Continue" under "Don't have a PayPal account?" to enter your payment information.

5. On the "Review your payment" page, feel free to add comments in the "Add special instructions to the seller" box.  This way we will know if you would like us to use your donation for a certain purpose (i.e. equipment, uniforms, music, etc).

6. PayPal will send you and the G-CHS band boosters an e-mail notification of your payment.

7. The charge will appear on your credit or debit card statement as payment to "PAYPAL *GREENFIELDC". 
Do NOT use this option to pay for SCRIP Card orders!!
